Smashed avocado is always a favourite breakfast option, but it’s even better teamed with ripe, juicy tomatoes and fresh, zingy basil. And do you know what basil tastes awesome with? Green tea – one of the energising ingredients in our Morning Boost blend!
- 3 Cloves Garlic.
- 1/2 Tomato.
- 1/2 Lime (or lemon your choice).
- 1 tablespoon chopped basil.
- Salt & Pepper (adds taste).
- 2 Slices of Whole Grain Bread.
- Extra-virgin Olive oil (for drizzling).
- Toast bread to your liking.
- Cut avocado in half, remove the pit, spoon avocado into a bowl, squeeze in the lime/lemon. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mash it together with a fork.
- Dice the tomato, chop the garlic and basil. Mix everything in a separate bowl, drizzle the extra virgin olive oil.
- Spoon avocado mash over the 2 slices of toast, top with the tomato-garlic-basil mix.
